Pin Up (Marilyn Monroe) Look

Pin ups have classic makeup looks and can be worn for special occasions or even every day. It is very simple to do. I will list the products used after the steps.

First you want to start with a clean and moisturized face. After you have let your moisturizer sit for at least 15 minutes (it is ok to apply makeup sooner) apply a liquid foundation all over the face and blend down the neck. Then take a concealer in your skin tone or ONE shade lighter and apply it in areas that need more coverage (under the eyes and around the base of the nose). Then apply a loose mineral powder to set the foundation and concealer.
When you are done with the face it is time to start on the eyes. You always need to make sure that you use a eye shadow base or primer. The primer will insure that the shadow won't crease and last all day. **do not skip this step** Then apply a light skin colored shadow all over the lid and up to the brow bone, making sure the color is concentrated on the lid. Then take a light to medium brown shadow and apply in the crease. You don't need a lot. We do this to add a little depth to the eye. Blend this as much or as little as you would like. Also, apply the brown to the lower lid and blend it with the light color.

The eyeliner is a little hard to explain. There are pictures after this and you can follow that and I will try to put a video up of how to do it too. I used a liquid liner to do it, but in the pictures that I looked at, it looks like they used a black eye shadow. A black eye shadow will work, it will just give you a softer look. You also, need to apply a black cream liner to the lower lid. Curl your lashes and apply a volumizing mascara in black to the upper and lower lashes. For add drama use a nice thick pair of false lashes.

Add a matte pink blush to the apples of the cheeks and blend to the top of the ear.

Now, you could be done with the look. Just add a lip gloss. But to stay true to the pin up look add a red lip stick. First you need to line your lips to prevent and bleeding.
