Haven't been on in FOREVER

Again I think that only one person reads this, if that. But a lot of things has happened since the last time I was on. I have officially moved to Sacramento. It is nice but I do miss everyone in Yuba. I had to have surgery to take my appendix out. And I think that is pretty much it. lol

I will be starting my vlogs and makeup tutorials soon. Hopefully I will be able to do one tomorrow.

SOO sorry.

I know like no one reads my blog...but i want to post this anyway. I know that I haven't done any makeup looks lately and that is because I have been really busy. Right now I have been studying for finals and trying to move to Sacramento. I will be doing videos and stuff when I move out. So keep looking for that.

Pin Up (Marilyn Monroe) Look

Pin ups have classic makeup looks and can be worn for special occasions or even every day. It is very simple to do. I will list the products used after the steps.

First you want to start with a clean and moisturized face. After you have let your moisturizer sit for at least 15 minutes (it is ok to apply makeup sooner) apply a liquid foundation all over the face and blend down the neck. Then take a concealer in your skin tone or ONE shade lighter and apply it in areas that need more coverage (under the eyes and around the base of the nose). Then apply a loose mineral powder to set the foundation and concealer.
When you are done with the face it is time to start on the eyes. You always need to make sure that you use a eye shadow base or primer. The primer will insure that the shadow won't crease and last all day. **do not skip this step** Then apply a light skin colored shadow all over the lid and up to the brow bone, making sure the color is concentrated on the lid. Then take a light to medium brown shadow and apply in the crease. You don't need a lot. We do this to add a little depth to the eye. Blend this as much or as little as you would like. Also, apply the brown to the lower lid and blend it with the light color.

The eyeliner is a little hard to explain. There are pictures after this and you can follow that and I will try to put a video up of how to do it too. I used a liquid liner to do it, but in the pictures that I looked at, it looks like they used a black eye shadow. A black eye shadow will work, it will just give you a softer look. You also, need to apply a black cream liner to the lower lid. Curl your lashes and apply a volumizing mascara in black to the upper and lower lashes. For add drama use a nice thick pair of false lashes.

Add a matte pink blush to the apples of the cheeks and blend to the top of the ear.

Now, you could be done with the look. Just add a lip gloss. But to stay true to the pin up look add a red lip stick. First you need to line your lips to prevent and bleeding.

Good day!

I met with my up-line, Raina, today and we talked about MK. She thought that it was a great idea to do this blog. I might be repeating myself but I think that it is very important that women know how to do their makeup using products that are inexpensive and easy to use. Mary Kay gives women that opportunity. I will be putting more pictures of looks up and hopefully doing some videos on my youtube channel.

First blog.

Hi! I'm Brittany and I am a cosmetologist and a Mary Kay consultant. I have decided to make this blog so that I can start showing women (and men) how to do their makeup using Mary Kay product. Mary Kay is pretty much all I use but for my bright and fun looks I use Urban Decay.

I also have a passion for nails so that will be on here. If you would like hair looks I can do that too. Either long or short.

I decided to make this blog because I always get asked how I do my makeup or my friends ask me to do their makeup. I'm not saying that I don't do it but now everyone can see how I do it. I will be trying to post videos on my YouTube channel which is bitney1988. If I can't I will either do step by step pictures or write what I do step by step. Most of my looks are simple and easy to do and I am always willing to get suggestions from you guys about what kind of looks you would like to see. Just tell me and I will try to get them up as soon as I can.

Thank you for reading!
